Seth Rollins is one of the biggest names in WWE today. Recently, he won the new World Heavyweight Championship and became the inaugural champion. It was an epic win and right now he is the biggest face of Monday Night RAW. Recently he received pretty strong booking, mainly for this title run.
He promised the WWE fans that he would be a fighting champion unlike Roman Reigns and he would regularly defend his World Heavyweight title too. This week, he successfully defeated Damian Priest in his first World title defense on Monday Night RAW. Definitely, he is a fighting champion so far.
Unveiling the Unappreciated: WWE Legend’s Plea To Recognize Seth Rollins’ Brilliance
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently talked about the amazing run of Seth Rollins in WWE and expressed his opinion on how The Visionary had been treated in the promotion. The Hardcore legend thinks he is always taken for granted in WWE. Speaking on his “Foley is Pod” Podcast, he said;
“I think we had really come to take him for granted. A phenomenal worker. I think last year — I don’t even know if Seth was in my top five. But this attention to character has been a slow build,” Foley said. “I remember there were people thinking it was the most embarrassing thing in wrestling and I was like, ‘He’s on to something, and he’s trying. He’s sinking his teeth into it.’ It was just so much fun to see him evolve and just take to it.”
Mick Foley Says WWE Takes Seth Rollins For Granted
“He reminds me of Edge. At the peak of Edge’s character prowess, where he just bit into everything, he did it with gusto. It didn’t matter how silly it was, he was going to make the very most out of it.” Said the Hardcore Legend who had been a former three times WWE World Champion.
“In the beginning, the new Seth Rollins seemed to be a little silly, and he just kept going with it, believing it. I don’t watch wrestling nearly as much as I used to, but I watch it enough to know that this guy is at a point where it’s the perfect marriage of in-ring talent and character.” Concluded the WWE Hall of Famer.
It was recently reported that Seth Rollins got a major role in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order movie so he might be out of action for a while. If he goes out of action he might have to drop the World Heavyweight title. But as soon as he comes back, he would definitely be back into the World title picture.
