Deonna Purrazzo is one of the top female talents that the professional wrestling industry has to offer, today. She used to work as an NXT Superstar in hope of becoming a top mainstay superstar, someday. But underutilization never really allowed her to flourish in the company and she was eventually let go of the contract back on April 15th, 2020 due to the COVID-19-related budget cuts.
That failure on WWE NXT didn’t provide any hindrance for Deonna Purrazzo after she arrived at Impact Wrestling. She became the Knockouts Champion in the company even before signing a contract with them and eventually became a figure who carried the Knockouts division on her shoulder, going forward.

The interesting news is that Deonna Purrazzo’s time with Impact could be ending, soon. The three-year deal with the promotion will soon be up, leaving the door for other companies to gun for a talent like her. But Impact will be in the race of retaining her as they will soon enter the contract negotiation phase.
Deonna Purrazzo Admits Of Being In A ‘Very Weird Period’ After WWE Release
Deonna Purrazzo’s tenure with Impact Wrestling coming to an end
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Deonna Purrazzo is in “a unique situation” when it comes to her contract with Impact Wrestling. The existing deal between the two parties will come to an end by the end of this year. The two parties are soon to have some discussions about her future. The source informed the following regarding the situation,
“Deonna Purrazzo has a bit of a more unique situation. Originally, Purrazzo’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2022. As a result, we’re told that Purrazzo and IMPACT Wrestling are set to actively discuss her future in the company, and more specifically the 2023 year. Sources familiar with the situation indicated that IMPACT believes they hold an option year, but it isn’t clear cut.”
As noted above, The Virtuosa became a champion in Impact Wrestling before even signing a deal. It was reported that “after receiving a raise, there was time added to her contract. This may also include an option year, but we’ve learned the two sides are supposed to enter negotiations.”
Given the top talent that Deonna Purrazzo is, it’s highly unlikely that Impact will let her go of their brand. She, herself is very much happy with the company that allowed her to showcase her full wrestling skills. Besides, she still is the Knockouts Tag Team Champion with her bestie Chelsea Green.
