Natalya is the most experienced female wrestler present in the WWE locker room, at present. The veteran plays a key role in the WWE women’s division which is far bigger than just being a performer. Not only she has been competing in the company for well over a decade but also playing the role of a mentor for the up and rising talents in the company.
Natalya’s career came to a full circle as she was able to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, earlier this year with Tamina Snuka. The move was praised by the fans as they genuinely think that Nattie deserves far better treatment in the WWE after she gave it all for the company. An unfortunate ankle injury stole the champion’s thunder, a bit but she made a very quick recovery from it to be back on track.

Natalya couldn’t rely on her Hart connection
The former champion also revealed that she couldn’t rely on her family connection due to the fact that the Hart Family was still not on good terms with the WWE due to the Montreal Screwjob from 1997.
“My family, when I was trying to get hired by WWE, my family was estranged from WWE, meaning when you go back to the Montreal Screwjob, even though that happened in 1997, there was a lot of tension between WWE and the Hart family. I understand why, it was a really difficult and complicated situation, so I think it was challenging for the Hart family members, especially the younger ones, to get hired because there was all this conflict,” Natalya continued.
“But of course, that all passed and we managed to work through all that, but for me, I didn’t have my dad to make a phone call, I didn’t have my uncles to make a phone call, I didn’t really have anyone. I had to basically fight tooth and nail to turn every single no into a yes.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)
Bret Hart was banned from WWE programming since the Montreal Screwjob but he was back on good terms with Vince McMahon in the year 2009. In fact, the two were part of a match at Wrestlemania 26, the following year. At that point, Natalya managed to make herself a mainstay performer in the WWE.
The Queen of Harts now stands as a two-time WWE Women’s Champion in her career who has already spent more than fifteen years with the company. Natalya’s husband, TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) is also an integral part of WWE TV as she’s one of the backstage producers.
