Former WWE star Vickie Guerrero recently talked about the custody of Dominick storyline. It was the same storyline that introduced the wrestling world with Vickie Guerrero as well.
The Custody of Dominick storyline came into existence back in 2005. It is considered as one of the weirdest storylines in WWE history, even though it was pretty fun and interesting to watch.
Vickie Guerrero Remembers The Custody Of Dominick Storyline
After losing to Rey Mysterio at the Great American Bash pay per view event of 2005 Eddie Guerrero revealed that he was the biological father of Dominick. The claim went too far that Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero fought in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam of the same year, and the custody of Dominick was on the line.
Even though it was all kayfabe, and Eddie Guerrero is not the father of Dominick. It is the same Dominick who is the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion along with Rey Mysterio today. He was only 8 year old back then.
Vickie Guerrero recently remembered this storyline and she talked about how Dominick managed to work in this storyline. Here is what she had to say about this topic;
“He was such a natural, just like you know with my girls they were all involved with the wrestling product every Monday and Friday you know we’re all watching wrestling so the kids, Dominic and my girls. It was very easy for them to follow the storylines especially when Rey and Eddie were performing.
“We just kind of followed suit to enjoy the storyline so Dominic was – he was incredibly talented. He shows today how far he’s been, succeeding in the wrestling industry. So to see him become this great character on his own, I had no doubts about that because I just saw him as a kid, he wasn’t scared of the camera and kept all the direction really well.
“I think that’s just something that was just really easy for him and I’m really proud of him and he taught me a lot and we were all learning together. To see how he’s grown, is just incredibly fascinating to me.”
