John Cena had been the face of WWE for more than a decade and he is definitely one of the biggest stars WWE ever produced. With every time period WWE came up with new faces for the promotion. From Bruno Sammartino to Roman Reigns, there had been multiple faces of the promotion, Cena definitely fits among the top names.

But Cena had been one of the fewest major names in WWE who did not work in any other promotion, much like Roman Reigns who did not get any kind of recognition from any other promotion. Wrestling fans always try to imagine how would these names be if they would have worked for any other promotion.

What If John Cena Joined TNA? Wrestling Legend Weighs In

Professional wrestling Legend Kurt Angle recently tried to imagine what would happen if John Cena worked for TNA Wrestling. This had been a matter of debate for many years among the critics and wrestling fans. Kurt Angle spoke on his latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast regarding this matter. Here is what the WWE Hall of Famer had to say;

“I don’t regret going to TNA. I absolutely love TNA, I love my eleven years there. I probably would have stayed if the money didn’t run out. I knew it was my time to go back to WWE and I wanted to finish my career where I started. If I go back, the one thing I would love to change is that I wish I didn’t get injured so much.

Cena Only Worked In WWE

The Olympic Gold Medallist Continued, “That’s what caused my painkiller problem and my painkiller problem caused me to leave WWE. I felt like if I wasn’t going to leave, I was going to end up doing something bad, which was overdose on painkillers. I thought it was right for me to leave.

“If I wouldn’t have left the WWE, and I would have wrestled there 20 straight years, I really believe, to this day, I’d be the greatest of all time. That’s not me blowing smoke, that’s me being honest. I think I would be considered the greatest of all time if I would have stuck with WWE for 20 years,” he said.

This is definitely a matter of debate as we just cannot agree on the fact that John Cena would have been as big as he is today if he worked for TNA Wrestling. For example Stone Cold Steve Austin could never become anything more than an upper mid card in WCW but after joining WWE he became the biggest sensation in the world of professional wrestling. But it would have been quite exciting if Cena actually work for TNA Wrestling.
