When WWE Raw Superstars were performing in the ring for the very special July 4th episode of WWE Raw, Stone Cold Steve Austin opted to stay away from the squared circle. This makes all the sense since he doesn’t have any intentions to step back into the professional wrestling ring, anytime soon.
Stone Cold Steve Austin celebrated took to Instagram on this latest American Independence Day and shared fan art of George Washington nailing King George III with a Stone Cold Stunner. Austin captioned the photo with the following statement,
“Hope your July 4th is a STUNNER!! #america #freedom.”
WWE Raw: Becky Lynch Checks On Asuka; Otis Threw Up After Scheduled Match
WWE Raw hosted a special July 4th episode, last night where Becky Lynch and Asuka featured in the main event of the show in a No Holds Barred Match. There was a hot-dog eating contest among the Raw locker room members hosted by The Street Profits. Also, both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champions were seen in action at the same time in a tag team match.
Stone Cold Steve Austin wasn’t mentioned on WWE Raw but he remained active throughout the 4th of July night responding to the fans who were celebrating with beers. The WWE legend was seen giving shout-outs to fans who drank his Broken Skull brewskis.

Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to action at Wrestlemania 38
Earlier this year, Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to the squared circle for a full-length matchup for the first time in 19 years. In a No Holds Barred contest, he defeated Kevin Owens at the WrestleMania 38 premium live event in the main event of Night One.
After his victory, Austin seemed contended with the experience but he would leave the door open for another match down the road, possibly at next year’s WrestleMania 39 that takes place in Hollywood.
“Well, for me to participate at WrestleMania 38, if you’d have told me, ‘hey man, you’re going to be part of WrestleMania 38, not only that, you’re going to main event night one,’ I would have said, ‘you’re full of s–t, and you’re crazy.’” Stone Cold Steve Austin stated in a conversation with the BrewBound Podcast. “But there I was, in Dallas, Texas, headlining main event on day one.”
“So, never say never. But I would imagine within the scope of that show, that’s going to be a big show in a big-time city, and it will be a two-night event again. So, I am sure I am done wrestling, per say. But as part of WWE, I can’t imagine that I would not be there in some capacity.”
With a lack of star power on their TV, WWE would definitely love to have Stone Cold Steve Austin to be around for some more but as noted in the interview, the WWE Hall of Famer wants to be booked only when Wrestlemania 39 season begins early next year.
