2021 has been one of the worst years in WWE history and there is no denying of this fact. In this year we have seen a record number of wrestlers getting released from WWE, also weak matchups and bad feud bookings. Overall it was a terrible year.
Another terrible thing about 2021 was the way WWE booked their titles. It might have been the worst time for the mid card championships. The only championships that were booked well were the world titles.

Which Was The Worst Booked Championship In 2021? – Analysis
That is right, WWE title and the WWE Universal Heavyweight title had been booked pretty well. And it was normal. When we will see WWE is failing to book their world championships properly, we can clearly say the end is near.
But what happened to the other championships? Latest talk about the WWE United States Championship first. It was being booked well since WrestleMania 37. Riddle dropped the title to Sheamus at the event and the Celtic Warrior carried the Championship on his shoulders till SummerSlam before dropping it to Damian Priest.
What do you remember the last time Damian Priest had a consistent feud for the title? He is carrying the title on his shoulders for no reason apparently. Every week he comes out in the episode of Monday Night RAW, he squashes jobbers, and that’s it. For some reason WWE is clearly avoiding a proper booking for this title.

Now let us talk about the Intercontinental Title. The situation of this title is even worse. Apollo Crews won the title at WrestleMania 37 when he defeated Big E. Everyone was expecting a good run for Apollo after the recent he turned and winning the IC title. But he did not receive any proper booking.
A number of months after he dropped the title to Shinsuke Nakamura. The picture remained the same. Since winning the title Nakamura did not have a single feud for the title yet. In spite of having Tag Team feuds along with his new tag team partner Rick Boogs.

But the worst title booking had to be the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. All the promises that was shown when it first arrive are gone. It is more of a liability of WWE right now. There are great opportunities to book the WWE 24/7 Championship as well. But it has been quite clear that the creative team of WWE absolutely terrible that their failing to book all the titles properly.
2021 has been A terrible year for WWE. But we are hoping to see better year lying ahead of us. Hopefully we will see better booking for all the mentioned championships in the next year. And that is all we can only do, we can only hope for a better future.
