Charlotte Flair is the benchmark female wrestler present in the WWE. She is undoubtedly one of the most talented female Superstars that the professional wrestling business has ever seen. Before making her return on TV on April 12 Raw episode, she was absent for a few weeks, and in the process, she went on to miss WrestleMania 37.
This is the very first time that the ten-time champion was absent from the Grandest Stage of Them All. Moreover, she wasn’t dealing with an injury and she also had recovered from COVID-19 by that time. A top-tier superstar’s absence from WrestleMania did leave a bunch of question marks for the worldwide fanbase of Charlotte Flair. It seems her fiancée Andrade’s recent release from the WWE has to do a lot with this absence.
Many fans have been wondering whether The Queen has had issues with WWE and whether the problems have become serious by the time. While speaking to Wrestling Inc, former WWE announcer Hugo Savinovich reflected upon Charlotte Flair being kept out of the WrestleMania 37 match card.
Savinovich questioned the absence and sudden return on the very next night’s episode of Monday Night RAW following the Biggest Event of the Year. Per his belief, Andrade must be the reason why Charlotte Flair missed WrestleMania 37. This was apparently WWE’s way of sending a message to the WWE locker room that no matter how big of a superstar you’re, you have to abode by the company’s ethics.

“I think a woman that is a legend, that has the legendary name of Ric Flair and has become one of the best in the field, and she’s taken out of WrestleMania with a cheap excuse of being pregnant? She’s not in WrestleMania, but the night after, she kicks everybody’s ass, and they let her do a mini-CM Punk pipe bomb in the ring. You don’t have her at WrestleMania. You don’t have Brock Lesnar.
You don’t have The Rock. You don’t have many things. You don’t have Jeff Hardy. You don’t have John Cena. You don’t have a surprise. You don’t have a CM Punk, and you have somebody already made. Somebody that is a diamond. Somebody that is a queen of wrestling, and you don’t have her on the card? Yet you bring her in the next night at RAW? How the heck do you explain that creative process?” Savinovich stated on Charlotte Flair missing out WrestleMania 37.
“She’s good for RAW, but maybe we’ll send a message that because you favor your Latino fiancé, maybe it would send a message to the other people, ‘Hey, anybody steps out of line, we don’t care if you’re The Queen Charlotte or you are Andrade or whatever. We’re going to take you out of the card.’”
Upon comeback, Charlotte Flair is engaged in a feud with Asuka and RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. She faced Asuka on the April 19 episode of Raw, where Ripley interrupted the match and caused her to be distracted and lose to Asuka. Flair attacked WWE referee Eddie Orengo after the match. As a result, she was fined and indefinitely suspended by WWE Official Adam Pearce. Now, she is back on board and all set to compete in the title match at Wrestlemania Backlash.
