John Cena has been a huge attraction for the WWE Universe and he’s also been synonymous with WrestleMania. Starting with his debut in 2004, he’s been a regular performer at the Show of Shows. However, he missed out on two consecutive occasions, that’s WrestleMania 37 and 38. There has been a rumor about the F9 star possibly being present backstage in a star-studded affair.
During WrestleMania 38, several names so-called legends were present, backstage for the event and at a pre-show party hosted by the boss. John Cena was expected to be in attendance but he didn’t get to attend the event.

According to the reports of PW Insider, The reason why the Cenation Leader was not present at WrestleMania 38 was because he was staying in New Mexico filming for Coyote vs. ACME. In this movie, John Cena will play the role of Coyote’s former boss at ACME.
The film follows “a down-on-his-luck (human) attorney who takes on Wile E. Coyote as a client in his suit against ACME over its defective products, only to discover that his boss at his former law firm is representing ACME.”

John Cena missed two back to back Wrestlemania events
The film that’s been on the floors, is being directed by Dave Green from a script by Samy Burch. It also has Will Forte and Lana Condor in different meaningful roles. The current schedule calls for the film to hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
As reported during WrestleMania 38 weekend, WWE executive Stephanie McMahon hosted a pre-show party for the special attendees of WrestleMania 38. Several AEW and GCW stars, including Brandi Rhodes, Summer Rae, Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett, Lita, Trish Stratus, The Bella Twins, Michelle McCool, and more were in attendance at that event. However, John Cena wasn’t seen in that affair as his filming schedule didn’t allow him to be around.
WrestleMania 38 came and gone and John Cena missed the energy around the biggest event of the year. He shared on his Twitter account that he was excited about the big event. After the two most stupendous nights were over, he took to the social media platform to congratulate the superstars and everyone else who made the event an unforgettable one with the following statement,
“Congrats to everyone who made this year’s #WrestleMania an absolutely STUPENDOUS 2-night affair. Celebrate the weekend, the fans & the closing one of chapter to start the next.”
