During a recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown, WWE teased a possible end of the brand split. Nothing has been confirmed yet, however, number of incidents that took place during the episode is clearly indicating towards this sad ending.
On the opening segment of the show, WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar had a face off where Brock Lesnar challenged Roman Reigns to a champion vs champion match. Nothing has been confirmed yet but it looks like this match may take place at WrestleMania 38.

Why WWE Needs To Stop The Brand Split Now – Analysis
On another segment, WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair announced herself to be participating in the Royal Rumble match. There is a huge possibility of her winning the Royal Rumble match and challenge Becky Lynch champion vs champion match at WrestleMania 38.
It is possible that in both occasions the Championships get unified after one certain person winning both titles. Yes, there is a huge chance of two title vs title matches taking place at WrestleMania 38. There is no concrete news about it yet but there is definitely a huge chance.

It may sound like a big disappointment to a lot of fans but at this point this would be a good thing. Of course this would be a huge step back. It definitely mean that WWE is not being able to manage two different main roster shows with two extended rosters. This may sound like a big disappointment to the hardcore WWE fans.
But at this point WWE has no other options. And we need to face the fact. WWE is terrible right now and year after year it is degrading. Shows are not interesting anymore. There are no good storylines neither any such good feuds. There is a big reason behind it is the extended brands.

Another big reason behind the failure of WWE is covid-19 pandemic. WWE release over 70 stars had a lot of them were from the main roster. As a result both SmackDown and raw are having thin rosters right now. The women’s division are even in a more terrible situation.
The only way to fix WWE right now would be merging the brands add having only one main roster show. It will open more horizons. WWE can improve the lower division better in which they are failing totally right now. Honestly we do not want this, but this is the only way to save the WWE right now. They need to stop the brand extension.
