WWE has long been done with Fastlane 2021, the final pay-per-view stop before WrestleMania 37. On that PPV night, some major matches for the Grandest Stage of Them All were built up while many of them are already confirmed. One of those is the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair with the title hanging in the balance.
This is an interesting equation as both these two are babyface stars who are set to collide over the title at WrestleMania 37. Before this upcoming match, they have also teamed up on two back-to-back PPV events to challenge the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. On both occasions, it ended in losing efforts.

This was an interesting scenario where the two could have headed to the title match being the Women’s Tag Team Champions. But that won’t be the case. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the situation to point out that WWE is gradually converting Sasha Banks into a heel in this WrestleMania 37 feud with Belair.

Sasha Banks already turned heel for Wrestlemania 37
As seen on SmackDown, the alliance between the two of them already started falling out. Then at Fastlane, they ended up on different pages which were needed to initiate the feud.

Sasha Banks was on the verge of winning the Women’s Tag Team Title match at Fastlane by tapping out Shayna Baszler with the Bank Statement submission. But then Nia Jax pushed Belair into her to end up the hold which eventually also caused the roll-up loss. Before leaving the ring, Sasha slapped the taste out of Beliar’s face for ruining the opportunity to become Banks 2 Beltz.
This must be enough reason for The Legit Boss to position herself as a heel in due course. Being the veteran in this situation, Sasha Banks has to carry Belair throughout the rivalry as her challenger at WrestleMania 37 is relatively new in the scene with lesser experience. Sasha previously delivered class villainous acts whenever needed and she isn’t expected to disappoint, this time, too.
