WrestleMania 37 week is going to be a celebration for the professional wrestling fans as the tagline suggests that the biggest show of the year is back in business after a hiatus of one year. Now, the next WWE NXT UK special event has also been attached from the overseas black and yellow brand, as if the two-night TakeOver special wasn’t enough.

It was announced during the latest NXT UK episode that the “NXT UK: Prelude” special will air on Thursday, April 8 at 3 PM ET on the WWE Network, making the WrestleMania 37 week even bigger. This event will air in the usual weekly NXT UK timeslot on the WWE Network which is likely to be available on Peacock for the United States fans.

Wrestlemania 37 Week: WWE NXT UK Special Prelude Announced 2

Overall, this is going to be the fourth NXT UK special event to ever take place in the WWE calendar during the WrestleMania 37 week. This dedicated brand previously hosted a “TakeOver: Blackpool” event on January 12, 2019, a “Takeover: Cardiff” event on August 31, 2019, and a “Takeover: Blackpool II” event on January 12, 2020.

Last year, “Takeover: Dublin” was listed to go down for April 26, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE scrapped that out. Even the entire production of the NXT UK brand came to a halt under the circumstances. The WWE re-scheduled this particular show for June 20 of this year, but there’s no confirmation available on whether they will carry out the show, as per the plans. For now, they’d like to deliver a solid Prelude event during the WrestleMania 37 week.
