The stunning finish of the Raw Elimination Chamber match over the WWE Championship apparently had major WrestleMania 37 implications attached to it.
As seen in the main event of the 2021 edition of the pay-per-view, Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, and Randy Orton inside the Chamber structure.
Thus, he was able to retain his WWE Championship. But soon tables turned as he had dropped the belt but planning in order to let him get back the belt at WrestleMania 37 has already begun. Bobby Lashley speared McIntyre out of nowhere before laying him out with a brutal assault. The Miz ran out and successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to win the WWE Championship and become a 2 time WWE Champion.

As of this writing, The Miz is scheduled to defend his newly won title against Bobby Lashley, next week. According to WrestleVotes, Miz isn’t scheduled to be in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37, but Bobby Lashley is. This does mean we can expect a title change within just eight days of Elimination Chamber. One way or the other, the A-Lister is going to lose the WWE Title, very soon.

In the meantime, WWFOldSchool is reporting that Drew McIntyre is also scheduled to be in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37. That being said, the current plan seems to be hosting a title match between Lashley and McIntyre. Lashley is possibly into the show as the champion while McIntyre would be his opponent.
The outcome of the rematch from Backlash 2020, at the grandest stage of WrestleMania 37, has also been disclosed by the source. It has been told that ever since McIntyre won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 last year, without any audience, there have been plans to give him his big moment once the fans are back in attendance.
WrestleMania 37 is going to be that very first show following the pandemic that will have fans in attendance. (WWE wants to have at least 30,000 fans on both nights). So, WWE wants to give McIntyre his third WWE Championship win at the April show which would be his first title win in front of physical fans in attendance. This is the reason WWE protected him even during the Miz’s cash-in via that pre-match attack from Lashley.
