Brock Lesnar has chosen WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as his Wrestlemania 38 opponent via his Royal Rumble match win, this past Saturday. Alongside this, he will also compete inside the Elimination Chamber structure for the first time ever, later this month for the WWE Championship.
This week on Raw, WWE Official Adam Pearce talked about the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match on Saturday, February 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where the new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will defend his title inside the Chamber against 5 challengers. Lashley and MVP interrupted him and they’re seemingly not happy about the Chamber match defense.

Lesnar then interrupted Lashley in his ring gear and challenged Lashley to a rematch for the title on RAW. Lesnar lost the WWE Title at Royal Rumble to Lashley following interferences by Roman Reigns. Hence, he picked Reigns as his WrestleMania 38 opponent. The Beast also warned Lashley that his match with Reigns at the April event will be a Title vs. Title match because he plans on winning back the WWE Title back before then.
Lesnar won Royal Rumble to confirm his spot at Wrestlemania 38
As reported earlier, Lesnar vs. Reigns has been the plan for WrestleMania 38 for several months now. They previously battled at WWE Crown Jewel, last October while they were also planned to compete in a rematch at WWE Day 1. But it was canceled due to Reigns getting tested positive for COVID-19. Lesnar ended up winning the WWE Title at Day 1, instead.
Then at Saturday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Lesnar lost the WWE Title to Lashley, courtesy of a sudden attack by Reigns, who was also assisted by Paul Heyman as he turned on Lesnar again. Lesnar then entered the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match as a surprise entrant at number-30 position and got the win by lasting merely for 3 minutes to punch his ticket to Wrestlemania 38.
Lesnar mentioned during last night’s RAW promo that he is upset with Reigns and Heyman,
“Don’t worry Bobby, it’s not you. At WrestleMania, I’m going to face Roman Reigns. But at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is going to be Title vs. Title.”
There’ve been speculations about a Title vs. Title match at Wrestlemania 38 between Reigns and Lesnar but in order to make the lineup happen, Lesnar will have to win the scheduled WWE Title Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia.
