Wrestlemania 38 is likely to deliver the two-most stupendous nights in the entire WWE history. Top Superstars like Roman Reigns or Becky Lynch will definitely be involved in top matches on the event that is scheduled to go down over two nights, April 2 and 3 from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
It appears that Becky is already being targeted by someone on the roster who hasn’t been on a wrestling role, as of late. Sonya Deville’s role in WWE over the past year has witnessed a dramatic change from what she’s done in the past. Instead of performing inside the ring, Deville has become an exclusive on-screen authority figure on RAW and SmackDown alongside another WWE Official in Adam Pearce.

It appears that she wants to be back in action in time for Wrestlemania 38 and accomplish one of her goals, yet to be attained. During an interview with talkSPORT, Deville listed off an in-ring accomplishment she would like to achieve before retiring.
“I’ve yet to have my singles match at WrestleMania and that’s obviously a goal of mine in the near future,” Deville said. “There’s so many scenarios that I would love.”

Progressing the conversation, Daddy Deville disclosed some scenarios in her mind in terms of possible opponents. There is one particular wrestler in the Raw Women’s Champion that she has wanted to face for a long time. Deville believes that she and Becky Lynch could have a great match while she also listed off two more names who she would love to face on the biggest stage of Wrestlemania 38.
“I’ve always said that I would love to face Becky Lynch because I just think the dichotomy of her character and my character would be so cool.” Deville continued, “There would be a lot of large energy in the room and I think that would be a really cool matchup.”
“I haven’t had many televised moments with Asuka and we have great chemistry in the ring that’s really different, so I’d love to do something with her. Sasha Banks, I think her character is so evolved and so deep that I look forward to the day we can exchange words and also physicality, I think that story would write itself.”
There’s no update on whether WWE considers being Deville back to in-ring action in time for Wrestlemania 38. The WWE Superstar has been on the main roster since being the group known as ‘Absolution’, led by Paige, debuted on the November 20, 2017, edition of Monday Night Raw. Since losing a ‘Loser Leaves WWE’ match at Summerslam 2020, Deville has only wrestled in one match that was a two on one handicap match where she teamed with Shayna Baszler to squash Naomi.
