Legendary WWE Superstar Triple H has recently announced his retirement from in-ring competition during an interview with ESPN. Then last night at Wrestlemania 38, the WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development, real name Paul Levesque made a surprise appearance in the opening segment hosted at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Dallas, Texas.
After the “America the Beautiful” performance by Jessie James Decker was summed up on the ramp, the familiar music of Triple H hit the arena to send the fans into a frenzy. A huge ovation was reserved for the multi-time world champion. The entrance went a few minutes as he soaked it all in and did his signature entrance pose on the apron amid big pops from the audience.

Fans chanted his name and then “thank you Hunter!” and he also thanked them in a show of respect. Triple H then stated how he wanted to come out and thank everyone, and show them his love in the best way he knows how. As a representative of the WWE, he then welcomed everyone to WrestleMania as the pyro and the fireworks went into display all over the arena.

The camera then cut back to the ring as we saw Triple H’s boots kept in the middle of the ring, as a sign of his official in-ring retirement. The Game then made his exit after greeting some of his family members and Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson at ringside before heading to the back.
WWE announced on September 8, 2021, that Triple H underwent had to undergo heart surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut after suffering a cardiac event, caused by a genetic heart issue. This is the main reason why he won’t be allowed to get physical in the ring, ever again.
Staying away from action, Triple H will be involved in his corporate duties in the WWE. He was busy with WWE’s Wrestlemania 38 proceedings by appearing at the WWE tryouts in Frisco, Texas on Thursday. He was also there during the revealing of the 2022 WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker’s life-size statue followed by a surprise appearance at a WWE talent meeting.
