Wrestlemania 38 is going to be the two-most stupendous nights in the event’s history, this coming April. Under the bright lights, the biggest WWE Superstars will collide in the biggest capacity. Raw and Smackdown talents are gearing up for their scheduled matches while a WWE Hall of Famer is also looking forward to a dream match that he’s been waiting for a long time.
During a text-based Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp mentioned that there’s a possibility of finally seeing Edge facing AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. The match has apparently been pitched backstage in WWE for the upcoming show. This makes sense as none of these two superstars are involved in any significant feuds.

AJ Styles and Edge had a brief and first-ever meeting in the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble when Edge made a shocking return to in-ring competition after nine long years. During that Rumble, Edge speared Styles that left the victim with a separated shoulder. Since then, fans have been demanding for the two men to square off in a one-on-one dream competition that could become a reality at Wrestlemania 38.
AJ also wants the dream match for Wrestlemania 38
AJ Styles wants it to happen and so does Edge. Appearing as a guest on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, The Phenomenal One shed his thoughts about possibly facing Rated R Superstar at Wrestlemania 38,
“Everybody has in mind the same guy that I do – Edge. And he has the same thing. Like we have the same idea. Will it happen? That’s not up to us. So, we’ll do what’s asked of us. We just hope we get the opportunity before both of us retire.”
AJ Styles defeated United States Champion Damian Priest in a non-title match on Raw and he also then faced Priest for the US Title on Raw, only to come up, short. As for Edge, he was last seen on WWE programming at the Royal Rumble 2022 premium live event. He teamed up with his real-life wife Beth Phoenix to hand over a loss to another real-life couple in The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match.
It is likely that Edge will be back on Raw in time for Wrestlemania 38 to kick off his scheduled program for the event. Fans would be elated if he finally gets the clearance to wrestle Styles at the Biggest Event of the Year.
