Earlier, Wrestlemania 39 was originally announced for only Sunday, April 2, but speculations already suggested that it will eventually become a two-night affair. WWE has now officially added that extra day, that’s Saturday night.
WrestleMania 37 in 2021 was originally scheduled from the SoFi Stadium while Wrestlemania 36 in 2020 was scheduled from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. But plans were changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wrestlemania 39 will be hosted in Hollywood
Later, Wrestlemania 39 was given to the SoFi Stadium which opened in 2020 and has a capacity of over 70,000 for NFL games. This venue is the current home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and LA Chargers. The stadium also hosted NFL’s Super Bowl 56 event back in February. WWE also plugged in the upcoming show in 2023 during that game.
At present, WWE Legend The Rock vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is being rumored to be the main event for WrestleMania 39 but only time will tell whether that match will actually happen given how busy The Rock is with his Hollywood career. If the match is not possible then a WWE Hall of Fame induction for The Rock is also being speculated. But we are still a long way to go before getting the WWE Specials on the WWE Network, next year.
Another Hollywood Superstar Batista is also being rumored to receive his Hall of Fame induction at Wrestlemania 39 while John Cena is also expected to feature in the card in some capacity. Another California resident Ronda Rousey is expected to compete in the much-anticipated singles match against Becky Lynch.
