Match 7 – Pat McAfee defeated The Miz
This match was not scheduled for WrestleMania 39, and it was one surprise match for the event. From the last year WWE is booking at least one surprise match. Last year they booked two, we are not sure if there going to be any more surprise matches tomorrow. But we are hoping to get at least one surprise match tomorrow since there is only six matches booked for night 2.

About the match, it was terrible. It was more of a squash victory for Pat McAfee. It might have been a bad match but anything that is surprising is fun to watch. McAfee and Miz both are capable of delivering better matches but we understand there were not much time left.
Match 8 – WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos to become new champion
And here it is, the main event of night one, the match to follow the best storyline of WrestleMania 39, the result of the best tag team storyline build up ever, the match that we were all been waiting for, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn finally got their hands on The Usos, and that is also on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 39.
Let us directly get into the match. The early part of the match was totally dominated by The Usos. Sami Zayn some tremendous beatings in this match, kudos to him for it. This was the longest match of the night with nearly 25 minutes of booking time, and from the very first minute, it was extremely entertaining.
It was the most fast paced match of the night indeed. The best part of the match was back to back near falls, and of course, the storytelling. We are not only talking about the storyline here, but the amount of story telling they did in this match will always be an example for the future stars.
The ending sequence between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso can make people cry. Sami hit three back to back Helluva Kicks to Jey, between each kick, Sami held Jey’s face and kept looking at him for a while. In this situation, you would feel like you are watching a movie and not a wrestling match. This was not only the best match of the night, but the most emotional as well.
Overall WrestleMania 39 night 1 was an average show. It was know where near the greatness of a last year’s night one. Apart from the last two matches, all the other matches were totally average and none of them were WrestleMania worthy performances. Let us not talk about the surprise match between Miz and Pat McAfee.
The most disappointing match of the night was the Logan Paul vs Seth Rollins. It was not the worst match of the night, of course, but everybody expected a better contest between these two. The more surprising part was, Logan Paul carried Seth Rollins throughout the match. Who could have even expected this? We are not sure about the condition of Seth Rollins, if he was not matchfit or if there was something else, but Seth’s performance was really disappointing.
The final two matches are definitely the best to matches of WrestleMania 39 Night 1. It is difficult to pic which one is the best match of the two, but our pick will remain the Tag Team Championship match because of its amazing storytelling and for being a complete package. We give night 1 of WrestleMania 39 3 stars out of 5.
