WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 2 Results & Ratings Part 1

Match 1 – Brock Lesnar defeated Omos

Before the start of the match we wanted Omos because we thought Omos really needed this push. But after this match we were pretty happy that Omos lost. The match was only 5 minutes long and the big man showd that he is capable of doing nothing. He is getting all the push just because of his size.

But he is still pretty young and he can definitely improve. But right now he is not good enough to have such a victory on the grandest stage of them all. So we believe it was a good call. The match might have been bad but it did a good job to hook the fans.

The Nigerian Giant dominated the early part of the match, or better say, he dominated the whole match. But after Lesnar got the control of the match, it was all the Beast Incarnate. Three back to back German Suplex almost eliminated all the possibilities of a win for Omos. It required only one F5 for Lesnar to pin the big man.

Match 2 – Women’s WrestleMania Showcase Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Match – Shayna Baszler And Ronda Rousey defeated Shotzi and Natalya, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, and Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan

This certainly was not the worst match of the night and we are happy that a lot of women got some bookings at a stage like WrestleMania 39. The match was nothing more exceptional than its counterpart which was the men’s WrestleMania showcase match, and nobody seemed much bothered about this match either.

Apart from Ronda Rousey, everybody gave their best in this match. Everyone fought really good for their team and at a point it was looking like a pretty competitive match. But ultimately it made a really predictable ending. Ronda Rousey, who did not bother to take part throughout the match, quickly entered the rain when everyone was out and made Shotzi submit with the Cross Armbar to snatch a cheeky victory for her side.

Match 3 – WWE Intercontinental championship – Gunther defeated Drew McIntyre and Sheamus to retain

This match had all the potential to be the best match of not only the night 2 but of the entire event. But unfortunately it could not be the best match of the event. It was of course an excellent match, it was physical and brutely punishing for all three competitors that were involved in this match.

But it was far from being the best match of the event, which a lot of fans expected it could be. The match remained a little unpredictable throughout as a non of the competitors got to dominate a better half. In spite of having so many fairy tale endings, this match provided none.

The Celtic Warrior winning the match would have been the most fairy tale any possible, but when it comes to the favourites of Triple H, he is a little stiff about the rest. Gunther managed to win the match and as Sheamus was protected, it seems like they left the doors open for him.
