WrestleMania 39 – Six Woman Tag Team Match – Trish Stratus, Lita, And Becky Lynch Vs. Damage CTRL

This was a different type of match for WrestleMania 39 where two of the biggest legends in women’s wrestling history teamed up which Becky Lynch to take on the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky. The women’s Tag Team titles are the only titles that were not defended on this year’s WrestleMania.

This was the first time Since WrestleMania 22 that these two legends of professional wrestling would be appearing in a WrestleMania event. This is truly and iconic Movement in women’s wrestling history. These two women has already proved their worth we are several matches previously and they showed be entire world that they still pretty had it.

Damage CTRL had been the biggest heel stable in the women’s division of WWE right now and their work, especially of Bayley had been exceptional as heels. However for the most time period, Bayley was seen jobbing to other wrestlers. Since her return she jobbed to Bianca Belair, and then to Becky Lynch.

There were rumours that Trish Stratus was going to turn heel during this match to cost her team the match. She would continue a feud with either of her current teammates. Moreover, Damage CTRL, especially Bayley needed this victory more than anyone else involved in this match.

This match was booked as the fourth match of the night. There might not have been much expectations from this match but build up to this match was pretty good. Damage CTRL got the early advantage of the match, they beat down Becky Lynch at the beginning of the match.

But after Lita entered the match she dominated Damage CTRL for a bit. But Damage CTRL had been the perfect heel throughout the match and they managed to master Lita soon. Overall the match had been pretty entertaining. There had been different spots to make things exciting.

There were rumours that Trish would turn heel at the end. But no such thing happened. It was more of a fairy tale ending with the babyface side winning and Becky pinning Bayley with a Super Manhandle Slam. Poor booking we must say. Bayley needed win more than anyone else. Don’t know what WWE is thinking.
