The show will continue the tradition of The Show of Shows being a two-night affair which requires more star power to keep things stacked. That being said, WWE is expected to bring more veteran names on this upcoming night as huge attractions.
WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is regarded as one of the best pro wrestling characters to have ever competed inside the squared circle. He was one of the main-eventers of this year’s Showcase of Immortals and if rumors are any indications that he would also be appearing at Wrestlemania 39. Stone Cold would be open to Wrestlemania 39 ideas pitched by WWE
With Wrestlemania 39 approaching closer, WrestleVotes has now provided a follow-up to the previous report. However, there’s no certainty on whether he’d be finally down with the idea or not. Here’s what the source stated,
“I know he was thrilled post-WrestleMania. And I’d say he was open to doing it again. Source believes Austin would definitely listen to any proposal for next year’s Mania. Me, nor the rest of the world, knows what his answer would be however.”
Stone Cold himself sounded positive about Wrestlemania return
During an interview on the Brewbound Podcast earlier this year in April, Austin sounded pretty positive about making an appearance at WrestleMania 39 but he never said anything about competing in a match.
Those exciting words came after the 6-Time WWE Champion came out of retirement at WrestleMania 38 in his home state of Texas. In the main event of Night One, he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match. Then on Night 2, he laid out long-time rival Vince McMahon and threw his usual Beer Bath celebration.
Wrestlemania 39 takes place on April 1 and 2 at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood, California. Officially, no superstar or matches have been announced for the show, as of this writing.
