Wrestlemania 39 is still almost a year away on the WWE calendar but then again this is the biggest event of the year and hence, plans around it is sketched, way ahead of time. Unlike the last time around, it appears that the company does have initial plans sketched for the Premium Live Event set for next year’s April.

The ideas around Wrestlemania 39 initially revolved around Money in the Bank 2022, as well. WWE aired a new commercial for the Premium Live Event which is scheduled for Saturday, July 2 at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The ad featured Cody Rhodes emphasizing that the winners of the Money In the Bank ladder matches will get a title shot at WrestleMania. Rhodes omitted the usual rule where the winners are able to cash in the contract at any time and place of their choosing to get a title shot.

Following this, many people were under the assumption that this was a mistake. Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that many people within WWE were also under the impression that this year’s MITB stipulations would be the same as previous years.

Vince McMahon has top Wrestlemania 39 matches planned?

But WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon reportedly has plans in place for the top matches at WrestleMania 39 and this ad might have to do something with those plans.

“The only direct company word regarding that question was there is nothing definitive either way. Another person said that Vince has plans already in place for the top matches at Mania and the winners of MITB in the title matches wouldn’t be that, although that commercial aired three times without an edit,” the report claims.

It was said by some within WWE that the wording on the ad was a mistake and it wasn’t edited when it aired during WrestleMania Backlash, but then WWE aired the same commercial on Monday, Tuesday, and on Friday. Despite all these speculations around the MITB, the company continued to air the same and now the belief is that stipulations around Wrestlemania 39 matches could be involved, indeed for the MITB winners.

The Rock vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been rumored for WrestleMania 39 for some time given the event is scheduled from Hollywood and The Rock is the biggest star in the film industry. But no such confirmation is available regarding that match, as of this writing.
