Brock Lesnar was previously advertised to appear at WWE’s latest upcoming premium live event Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. But that won’t be the case as he’s nowhere to be found since his last TV appearance on April 3rd at the Showcase of Immortals.

Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in a champions vs. champion title unification match. This much-anticipated bout was a long-time coming as their feud was developing for quite a while, Summerslam 2021 to be precise. Some fans expected to see him at WrestleMania Backlash 2022 given that he was being advertised in the early going but he was never booked for the show despite those advertisements by the venue.

Wrestlemania Backlash 2022: Brock Lesnar Was Falsely Advertised For WWE PLE 1

Following the lame finish to the biggest Wrestlemania match of all time, some of the WWE Universe expected to see them duke out in a rematch at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. Those fans were literally shocked by the way he was pulled from the event, all of a sudden.

In an update from Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE falsely advertised Lesnar for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. He revealed that the main reason was so that people wouldn’t guess that he was going to lose at WrestleMania 38.

“It is notable WWE had first advertised Brock Lesnar, even though he was never supposed to be on the show. The explanation was that if they didn’t advertise Lesnar, it would give people the clue that Lesnar wasn’t winning at Mania. Anyway, it’s direct false advertising.”

At this point, Lesnar is being promoted to appear at Summerslam 2022, and hence he should be back in the fold in time for the biggest event of the summer.
