Roman Reigns is the longest reigning WWE World Champion in last 36 years and he is indeed the biggest name in the world of professional wrestling today. Recently he crossed thousand day mark as the world champion of WWE and became the first wrestler in 36 years to hold the title for such a long time.

But in spite of being the top star of the wrestling world today, his journey was not very easy. As soon as Vince McMahon saw him, he knew that he got his next Megastar. But the fans were not ready to accept Roman Reigns as the next face of WWE and inspite of having back to back from booking, the decline of the fans kept on increasing.

But in the last number of years, Reigns finally managed to become the star that Vince McMahon always wanted him to be. He did have to struggle a lot but indeed he is the top star of the world of professional wrestling today. Road Dogg Jesse James recently spoke on his “Oh You Didn’t Know” podcast where he explained how he became the top star of WWE;

“No, I don’t think so,” James responded. “You gotta let stuff sit, you gotta let stuff simmer. I know that’s unpopular in today’s day and age, where I can get whatever I want, and I can get it right now. Sometimes you gotta sit on this, and see which way the wind blows. Boy, it blew in the right direction, because look [at] where we stand now, and where he stands now — as an individual and superstar.”

Road Dogg Shares Praise For Roman Reigns

“People hated him, they hated him,” James said of Reigns. “They hate him now, and yet everybody in the soldout arena, of which there are a lot of them now, acknowledges him on the weekly. They listen to his every word, they are hanging on his every word, and every facial [expression] in these in-ring promos.”

“It’s the best I’ve ever seen in wrestling. I’ll say that without a shadow of a doubt,” James added. “Roman getting down on his knees and crying, and then hitting [the low blow] … that hurt my heart.” Concluded the former six times WWE Tag Team Champion.
