Professional wrestling legend “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff passed away last night at the age of 71. He died in Fayetteville, Georgia. It is reported that he was diagnosed with Dementia recently. However, it is still unknown if the reason for his death is Dementia.

Paul Orndorff was a legend of professional wrestling. He has worked in various big promotions such as WWE, WCW, and other promotions. Had a very long career on the independent promotions as well. He kept working in the world of professional wrestling till the age of 67. He could not work for the last four years.

Wrestling Legend Paul Orndorff Passes Away At 71

Orndorff started his professional wrestling career back in 1976 in the Mid Southern wrestling promotion. He is fast feud was with the legendary professional wrestler “the King” Jerry Lawler who was also Pretty young back then. What in various promotions for seven years including the National Wrestling Alliance.

In 1983 he came to WWE. He started his WWE career as a heel and he has been immediately treated as a main eventer by Vince McMahon. After a number of successful feuds, he started having feud with the best in the promotion at that time The Immortal Hulk Hogan.

He Main invented the first ever Wrestlemania in 1985 along with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper vs. The Immortal Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. Hhe became famous in WWE as a heel. He got his nickname “Mr. Wonderful” by this time only.

He worked in WWE for five years. In 1988 he left WWE and started working for various promotions. In 1990 he gad a short run in the World Championship Wrestling. After working in different emotions for a while, joined WCW in 1992 again. He kept on working for the promotion till the promotion got extinct.

During the time he announced his retirement from Professional Wrestling but he kept appearing on the various promotions. He kept on working till 2017 before leaving the world of professional wrestling forever. Orndorff has always been considered as a legend of professional wrestling. WWE inducted him into the Hall Of Fame in the class of 2005.
