Reason Why CM Punk Returned To Pro-Wrestling Ring

Now they might get to witness him in a wrestling ring, finally as per a major update from a reliable source. The return of this century may happen around this summer when AEW returns with their next PPV.

Slice Wrestling provided an exclusive report stating that CM Punk has signed with AEW. But they will keep the deal a secret until the next pay-per-view All Out happens in August. It will take place in his hometown of Chicago setting a perfect environment for his return. Check out more from the source,

As we all know, CM Punk has always been the biggest free agent in sports entertainment since quitting WWE back in 2014. The company froze his contract and thereby went for a lawsuit that went on for multiple years keeping the bad blood intact between the two parties. All of those may have become water under the bridge as WWE still wants the Straight Edge leader back into the roster.

As per the recent reports, WWE officials were also very much keen to get back CM Punk under their banner. Their interest may have increased after he showed up in a recent independent show and hit the GTS on a superstar. This fuelled up the speculations of his comeback to the squared circle.

Now All Elite Wrestling was also targeting this man which may have started a tug of war between the companies over CM Punk. Originally, AEW head Toni Khan chose him to be the face instead of Cody Rhodes or The Young Bucks. If this signing rumor is true then AEW head will be able to fulfill his wish. Also, this will provide the toughest challenge to WWE at a time when they start the shifting process of Smackdown to FOX Sports.

Initially, CM Punk did not want to make a comeback to the pro-wrestling ring, at all. He said on numerous occasions that there’s no way that he is showing up on any of the promotions. So we have to wait until the end of August to see whether this comeback report is true. Only time will tell whether he has changed his mind regarding the return.
