The professional wrestling world is reacting to the news of Bray Wyatt’s release from the WWE including his former on-screen partner Alexa Bliss. Last night, WWE announced the release of Bray Wyatt by posting the following and thereby ended up shocking the entire pro-wrestling fraternity,
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.”
Following this shocking learning, Alexa Bliss has taken to Twitter to thank Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda. She acknowledged the former Raw Superstar’s contributions to the WWE and also to her, personally.
“I really am at a loss for words,” Alexa Bliss wrote. “Thank you so much Windham for everything you’ve done for this company. The most fun I’ve had is working with you. Such an amazing talent & the most kind person. I’m just in shock.”
There must have been consequences to this post as well as the release of Wyatt from WWE which could be the reason why Alexa Bliss made her Twitter account private, shortly after the tweet.
Jinder Mahal Wants Punjabi Prison Match In WWE Against Drew McIntyre
The five-time Women’s Champion in the WWE had been linked to Wyatt on WWE TV since last summer. She, first made a cameo as Sister Abigail in Wyatt’s cinematic bout with Braun Strowman at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules 2020.
Following that appearance, Alexa Bliss would proceed to have a complete makeover, banning her traditional ring gear and other related appearance accessories for attire and gimmick inspired by The Fiend. While Wyatt was off television following his loss to Randy Orton from TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs 2020, Bliss appeared on RAW weekly, continuing that storyline.
She would continue to taunt Orton and thereby attempt to ‘resurrect’ The Fiend. She then accompanied The Fiend at WrestleMania 37, but would eventually turn on him to cost him the match against Randy Orton. This appeared to be the final WWE match of Wyatt’s career.
Mickie James brought Alexa Bliss to Wyatt’s release
On a related note, Former Women’s Champion Mickie James, who was got released from WWE a few months back, tweeted the following about Bray Wyatt’s release while also dragging Alexa Bliss into the conversation,
“I think what you meant to say was: “Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again) one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go” ?♀️ ? “
Mickie got some expected heat from fans for bringing Alexa Bliss (with the ‘someone else’ reference, as she is still dragging the female Fiend gimmick on Raw) into this. So, Mickie had to respond further to make some explanation to her earlier comments,
“This isn’t against Alexa. I love her. She’s an incredible performer who is killing it in a role she was given. She always does. We as artists take every role we’re given & turn it into gold. He, she, they both did that. Like it/not. Facts are facts. So sorry if that offends you.”
