The next match at Backlash 2023 was the Street Fight between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny. Honestly this was the most entertaining match of the night, this was also the longest match of Backlash 2023. We would not say this was the best match in terms of professional wrestling but it was extremely entertaining and the home crowd just loved it.
A lot of things happened in this match. There were really high risk spots and respect to Bad Bunny for taking such scary beatings. At the end of the match, the rest of The Judgment Day attacked Bad Bunny. WWE legends Carlito and Savio Vega made their returns in LWO shirts to take out Judgment Day. Bunny pinned Priest with an excellent Canadian Destroyer. The match was predictable because outside celebrities never loses in WWE.

WWE Backlash 2023 Ratings & Analysis Part 2
Next match of the night was the six man tag team match for the Bloodline took on the team of Matt Riddle and the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The long running storyline finally ended here as the Bloodline remained on SmackDown and the Tag Team Champions were drafted to RAW.
About the match it was booked for around 20 minutes and it was a pretty good match. However their Tag Team title bout at WrestleMania 39 was indeed a better match than this one. This match right here focused on building crack in the Bloodline storyline more than ending the storyline between The Bloodline and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn storyline.

The best moment of the match has to be when Solo Sikoa was just about to hit his own brother Jey Uso. The issues between Solo and Jey increased in this match and with Solo pinning Riddle, the presentation looked more like Solo doing everything for Bloodline alone and The Usos are mostly messing things up. It would be interesting to know how long the crack in the Bloodline storyline goes on.
The final match of the night between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes came out with some surprising elements. We are definitely not talking about the outcome of the match, because Cody winning the match was pretty predictable. Why was this match predictable? Simple reason, WWE has to keep on promoting Cody as the top of babyface and a worthy World Heavyweight champion. Yes, she is definitely winning the world title sooner or later.
The most surprising element of the match was Brock Lesnar bleeding and WWE allowed the match to go on even when Brock was bleeding. Just one month ago, when Finn Balor got busted open, WWE dropped the match in the middle, and in just one month time, they allowed the blood? And the blood was even sold, which was more surprising. Does it mean WWE bringing back blood?

About the match, it was entertaining, but this was certainly not the best match of the night. The way Cody won was a not a very bad look for Brock either. We wonder what plans WWE has in mind about Brock Lesnar as a free agent. Would he be competing for the World Heavyweight championship on Monday Night RAW? Or there are some different plans? We have to wait to see that.
Overall it was a totally average event. Honestly WWE did not do any justice to such an amazing crowd of Puerto Rico. This was one of the best crowds of WWE in the recent years. Puerto Rico deserves more live shows. But next time we hope WWE would organize a better show than this one with at least one world title match. We give WWE Backlash 2023 2 out of 5.
