After their WrestleMania 23 meeting, Batista and The Undertaker continued their rivalry having several more matches in months to follow. The match at Backlash pay-per-view stood out due to the incredible stunt where these two veterans put their bodies on the line.
As the two of them were fighting on the ramp, Batista caught Taker off-guard standing on the edge of the stage. He delivered a wicked Spear that landed them two into the production equipment, kept outside the ring. Several pyro blasts were caused on the scene alongside some steel structures that fell on the ramp, creating a carnage.
