WWE Clash At The Castle 2022 Results & Ratings
This was the first match of the evening and it was a very good match. The match was book for 19 minutes and it was a fun match overall. However the early part of the match was a little slow but the end of the match really made everyone forget whatever they saw.
The babyface side dominated the early and the letter half of the match. At the later part, Bianca Belair was presented as the most dominant force of the match who literally dominated all three women all alone. But she gave up after a Moonsault from Iyo Sky and Bayley pinned her. It was a good way to start the night.
Highlights from the main event of SummerSlam 1992 was shown which also took place at the Wembly stadium where the Hitman Bret Hart defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. Bret Hart was also seen among the crowd tonight.
Match 2 – WWE Intercontinental Championship – Gunther defeated Sheamus to retain

The most important thing about the match is, WWE brought the Imperium on the main roster for the first time! Fabian Aichner is back to WWE. It is a big news and it would be really amazing to see the Imperium ruling the main roster.
We were all expecting a great Intercontinental Championship match since the title has been defended in a pay per view event for the first time Since WrestleMania 37. It was well paced from the first minute of the match and in this match we actually witnessed what these two individuals are capable of.
It was a heel vs heel match but Sheamus had been presented as the face of the match and Gunther was the heel. Speaking of Gunther, he had been pretty physical throughout the match. The initial a half of the match was dominated by Sheamus but Gunther had been the more dominated of the two.
The match was booked for 19 minutes. Without any doubt it was one of the best matches of the night if not the best. Near falls after near falls made the match really amazing. They kept on speaking out of each other’s finishers There were a number of minor botches but that can be overlooked. Gunther pinned Sheamus after a Powerbomb and a Lariat.
Match 3 – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship – Liv Morgan defeated Shayna Baszler to retain

This match was booked for 10 minutes and it was a good match. We would not say that it was not a pay per view standard match but these two women are definitely capable of delivery better matches. It was not disappointing but honestly we expected a better match.
It was more of a plain and simple match. Shayna Baszler only went for dirty works throughout the match and she also dominated the most part of the match. At the end, Liv Morgan pinned Shayna Baszler with the Oblivion Finishing Maneuver.
Match 4 – Rey Mysterio and Edge defeated The Judgment Day

The match was booked for over 12 minutes and throughout the match it would seem disappointing that the wrong team won and the rumours were all wrong. Of course, the wrong team won. It just killed the momentum of the Judgement Day. Dominik helped the team of his father from outside to win.
But the actual surprise came after the match. Dominik Mysterio betrayed is own father as he attacked both Edge and Rey Mysterio after the match. He nailed Rey with a Clothesline. But if he wanted to betray his father and Edge, then why he helped them to win? Lots of questions needed to be answered.
Match 5 – Seth Rollins defeated Matt Riddle

It is hard to decide which is the best match of the night. The intercontinental championship match or this one. The first one was more of a technical Masterpiece, this one was a wrestling classic. What an amazing match! Both wrestlers where just on top of their games.
The match was book for 19 minutes and it was definitely a very entertaining match. But lastly it was quite predictable. Seth pinned Matt Riddle with two back to back Stomps. Now it would be interesting to see if WWE continues this feud or if they have anything else planned for the duo.
Match 6 – WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship – Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre to retain

It was one of the most anticipated pay per view main events of this year so far. There were a lot of expectations from this match, this was the match of the card with the highest expectation level. And of course it was one of the best matches of the night, we are unsure if we should call it the best match of the night.
The start of the match was very slow and it took almost 15 minutes to took the actual pace of the match. But when they got into the pace, just amazing. We could not have ask for anything better than this. It was also the longest match of the night so we can definitely call it the right full main event of Clash at the Castle.
After around 25 minutes of the match, Theory attempted to cash in his contract. But he got paunched right into the face by Tyson Fury who was in the crowd. At the end of the match, Drew almost had the match won, but he was pulled out by a hooded man who turned out to be the debuting Solo Sikoa.
The match was booked for half an hour and it was worth every penny. There were rumours of the return of Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. None of those those wrestlers returns took place but what an event it was. After the match Tyson Fury entered the ring and shook hands with Roman Reigns. After he left with Sikoa, Fury started celebrating with Drew McIntyre. They sang songs with the fans and they celebrated as Clash at the Castle 2022 went off the air.
What an amazing event Clash At The Castle was! By far we can definitely college the best event of 2022 so far. Of course there were expectations of a potential return of Bray Wyatt. But no such thing happened so it was a big disappointment of course. But rather than that, it was one hell of a event.
Three of the six matches were just perfect. Dominik Mysterio’s heel turn was quite shocking as well. The debut of Solo Sikoa was perfectly booked too. The downfall were the women’s matches. The six women tag team match could definitely be better. And honestly, there was no need for the final segment between Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury. We give Clash at the Castle 2022 a rating of 3.5 out of 5.
