Toni Storm will officially make her main roster debut from the WWE NXT roster during next Friday’s SmackDown on FOX episode. The coming episode will be a special one where the show will be broadcasted split-site from the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, Florida while the rest of the show is scheduled to air from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
As noted, a vignette aired during last week’s SmackDown where it was announced that Toni Storm would be coming to the blue brand. In an update from the situation, WWE aired another teaser vignette during this week’s Money in the Bank 2021 go-home show to announce that the superstar from Australia will arrive at the mainstay scene, next Friday night. She is hoped to be a great inclusion to the blue brigade at a time when it’s going through a downtime.
Next Friday Night’s July 23 episode of Smackdown will also reportedly witness the return of John Cena as he expects to go up against Roman Reigns at Summerslam 2021 over the Universal Championship. But all eyes will also be on Toni Storm who will try to convert Friday Night into Toni Time.
Toni Storm is with the WWE since 2018
Previously, Toni Storm made several appearances on main roster shows but as a part of an NXT roster member. She worked a RAW dark match on July 5, defeating the returning Tegan Nox. Her last NXT TV match came on May 18, a win over current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark.
WWE Star Toni Storm Comes Out As Bisexual; Issues Statement
Toni Storm first started working with WWE in June 2017 by competing at the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament. Then she signed a contract in May 2018 and ended up winning the Mae Young Classic’s second edition at Evolution in October 2018. Then she was moved to the NXT UK brand in the summer of 2018, where she later captured the NXT UK Women’s Title at “Takeover: Blackpool” in January 2019, by defeating the current RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.
Toni Storm would later work the WWE Survivor Series and Royal Rumble pay-per-views before going into an eight-month hiatus. The star name from the indie circuit returned to the main NXT brand in October 2020 and since then she has been involved in brief feuds including a couple of matches for the NXT Women’s Title. But she didn’t earn success in capturing the belt.
