Drew McIntyre will challenge WWE Champion Big E for the WWE Championship at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, later this month. This match was already teased, last week after McIntyre confronted E and made a statement about coming after the title. This happened after E successfully retained his title against Bobby Lashley inside a Steel Cage.

Then during the WWE Draft Night 2 edition of RAW, the new SmackDown Superstar Drew McIntyre officially issued a challenge to Big E for the WWE Title. Then they ended up defeating Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a tag team match. After the match, Big E agreed to put the title on the line against McIntyre at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. E won the title on the September 13 episode by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Lashley.

WWE RAW Tag Team Titles will also be on the line at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia. It was announced prior to this week’s Raw that Randy Orton and Riddle will defend their tag belts against AJ Styles and Omos at the upcoming event in a rematch. The champions defeated Styles and Omos at Summerslam to win those straps in late August.

It was recently reported that Randy Orton was not medically cleared to compete for unknown reasons as he missed a couple of Raw shows. But WWE apparently expects him back before the upcoming PPV and hence the match has been scheduled. This will be the first title shot for AJ and Omos since dropping the belts to Orton and Riddle at WWE SummerSlam on August 21. For the champions, this will mark the second TV title defense for Orton and Riddle. They retained in their first title defense over MVP and Bobby Lashley on the August 30 episode of RAW.
