A new match has been announced for the WWE Day 1 PPV event from the blue brand during this past episode of Smackdown. In this match, Drew McIntyre will take on Madcap Moss in a singles contest, who will have Happy Baron Corbin in his corner. This match was supposed to be a 2-on-1 handicap bout but then the lineup was changed.
A must-see edition of Happy Talk with Madcap Moss and Happy Baron Corbin took place during this week’s Smackdown after which the match for WWE Day 1 was confirmed. WWE Official Adam Pearce’s desk was put in the middle of the ring, with McIntyre’s sword Angela still stuck in it. Last week, the two heels stole the prized possession of McIntyre from Pearce’s office.

McIntyre crashed the fun party for Moss and Corbin as he spoke from the apron and asked if they’re having performance issues. Moss charged in but McIntyre decked him with the microphone. McIntyre entered the ring and ended up dropping Corbin with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt.

He finally pulled the sword out of the desk with no problems. The Scottish Warrior went for Corbin again but Moss pulled him out of the ring to safety. McIntyre stood tall with the sword as his music started backing up with Moss and Corbin looking on from ringside. McIntyre hits the corner to pose with Angela to end the segment after which the WWE Day 1 matchup was confirmed.
Originally, McIntyre and Hardy were involved in this rivalry against Moss and Corbin. But Hardy was recently released from the company after being set home from a WWE Live Event. Reports suggested that he refused to go to rehab which caused the release from the contract.
