Last night on Monday Night RAW, WWE introduced the new Women’s World Championship on the opening segment of the night. It was just the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship that had been renamed. The Eradicator Rhea Ripley is currently holding the title
Last week on Friday Night Smackdown, WWE replaced their RAW Women’s Championship with the new WWE Women’s Championship. Fans were expecting to see a new Championship on Monday Night RAW as well. So they finally got rid of the lazy SmackDown title and RAW title names.

WWE Introduces New Women’s World Championship: Why The Segment Was A Failure
We must say that they have been pretty lazy with the designs of these two new titles. They are just the exact counterparts of the men’s version of the World Championships. Asuka’s version is the exact same copy of the Universal title and Ripley’s one is the same one as the World Heavyweight title. The women’s titles are just in white straps.
Much like Friday Night Smackdown, Adam Pearce also hosted this segment and presented the new Women’s World Championship to Rhea Ripley and replaced it with the previous SmackDown Women’s Championship. Ripley celebrated getting the new title with Dominik Mysterio.

Rhea Ripley Was Awarded The New Women’s World Championship
And this is where things went completely wrong. Cody Rhodes came out next to stretch the segment for the and the rest of the segment concentrated on building the new feud between Cody and Dominik Mysterio. As if the segment was all about these two athletes and it had nothing to do with the Women’s World Championship.
But was not it supposed to be the segment for the Women’s World Championship? Why didn’t anyone step up to Rhea for the title like Charlotte Flair challenged for the other Women’s title with Bianca Belair already being on the queue? Forwarding this segment to a completely different angle somehow made the new title segment meaningless.

There are over 15 female wrestlers on Monday Night RAW who has no specific bookings at this moment and nobody wants to challenge for the title? They cannot find anyone who could step up to Rhea to challenge for the title? There are at least some challengers for the other women’s title, but the one that Rhea Ripley holding is completely overlooked.
