Jeff Hardy has been a regular fixture on WWE television, all over the year 2021. WWE didn’t involve him in key storylines but he made his presence felt in the mid-card level on Raw. Later during the Draft 2021, he was shifted to the Smackdown brand as we expected to witness a dream feud involving the Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

That never happened as Jeff Hardy was released from his WWE contract. After walking out in the middle of a House Show match, this let-go happened after the top superstar was reportedly sent home in the middle of a tour. WWE never came up with the information although reliable sources informed the same that the veteran’s WWE career is over.

The reason being reported for the release is that WWE offered help to Jeff Hardy and apparently wanted him to go to rehab but the offer was turned down. This, in turn, resulted in his release. While walking out of the match, the younger Hardy was looking more sluggish and it’s obvious that his past problems with addictions came into play while it’s yet to be confirmed.

Jeff Hardy has a long history of intoxication

With the term rehab involved in the situation, a lot of people believe that Jeff Hardy is facing his addiction problem once again, although reports mentioned nothing about the issue. According to the reports of Wrestling News, a source in WWE told them that Hardy has been doing great since his last DUI arrest from a few years ago,

“I saw him before that match and there was nothing out of the usual going on with him. Jeff deals with back and knee issues but I don’t think he drank anything or took any pills before that show.

As far as I know, he’s been doing great since the DUI arrest from a couple years back. I know people are wondering why he would be allowed to go out there if he was f**ked up but he looked fine before the match.”

Jeff Hardy was involved in a feud against Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss when his WWE release occurred. He and Drew McIntyre were scheduled to face the two heels on Smackdown before the release and the match obviously didn’t take place.
