Red Notice featuring WWE Legend The Rock proved to be one of the most successful Hollywood movies of last year. During the ending sequence, a tease was there that he alongside the other star cast could be back with sequels. Now, it’s confirmed that two more films under this franchise should be in the pipeline.

Red Notice premiered on Netflix on November 4th, 2022. The action-comedy film starred Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Ritu Arya. Soon after its release, the movie became the most-watched Netflix movie of all time. For all the success the project has seen, producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia have now come up with some exciting updates about the status of the sequels.

It seems that after Red Notice’s high viewership, two sequels were officially given the green signal to go into production. It also seems that both editions will be filmed back-to-back. Flynn and Garcia provide a positive update on the movie’s sequels in an interview with Collider. While the production isn’t about to begin, imminently, a lot of background work is going down, at the time.

Talking about the film’s subject, Flynn opened up about the subject of the movie,

“Well, we have a ‘Red Notice 2’ script and almost [Red Notice] 3. The plan is hopefully if Hiram and I have of our way that we would make those movies back to back. But it’s going to be all about the scripts and how we feel and how Dwayne, Gal, and Ryan feel about them. But that franchise is a blast and obviously Netflix really wants it, and Rawson [Marshall Thurber, director, and screenwriter] is committed.”

The film follows FBI Agent John Hartley (The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson) reluctantly teaming up with a notorious art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), to stop an even infamous art thief, Sarah Black/The Bishop (Gal Gadot). All of these individuals had their own motives while going into the expedition which ended with a twist.
