John Cena and The Rock need no introduction in professional wrestling as well as the entertainment industry. The latter had already proven himself to be the biggest box office attraction in Hollywood while his successor in the WWE is following his footsteps to match up to him. Now the two veterans will have a virtual fight over an award.
Both The Rock and John Cena had incredible 2021 in the movie industry. According to PWInsider, both these superstars have been nominated for Favorite Movie Actor Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award. The Rock should be included for Jungle Cruise/Red Notice movie which was the biggest blockbusters of last year.

John Cena is likely to be nominated due to his role in F9 and as Peacemaker for the Suicide Squad movie while he also received a spin-off series in HBO Max for the Peacemaker character. Sasha Banks is also nominated for Favorite Female Sports Star and she is seemingly excited about the nomination.

John Cena has become a Hollywood movie star
John Cena is a 16-time World Champion who has carried the WWE on his shoulder throughout the better part of the PG era. But for the past several years, he has been a part-timer name in the WWE after becoming one of the mainstays of Hollywood. With projects lined up for him in the future, there’s no way that he will return to the WWE on a full-time basis.
As for The Rock, he’s a businessman and the biggest star of the Hollywood industry who would continue to deliver blockbusters. In addition to the favorite actor nomination, his Jungle Cruise is nominated for Favorite Movie while John Cena’s reboot of Wipeout is nominated for Favorite Reality Show.
The 2022 Kids Choice Awards is scheduled to air on April 9 at 7:30 PM Eastern on Nickelodeon. It will be hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and former WWE 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski. The voting process has begun as we wait to see whether anyone from The Rock or John Cena or Sasha Banks snatches an award on that night.
