WWE is promoting the biggest match of the all-time set for Wrestlemania 38 where both the WWE Title and Universal Title will be on the line. That match is set to be the main event of Night Two of the show featuring two of the most prominent WWE Superstars of this generation.
No new updates have been arrived on what WWE could be in store for WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns coming out of their Winner Takes All Title Unification bout at WrestleMania 38.
WWE recently confirmed that Lesnar vs. Reigns will be a Title Unification match following their contract signing segment on Smackdown. This does mean that there will be only one top champion at the end of WrestleMania 38 Sunday. Since after the announcement, there’s been a feeling within WWE that one champion is not feasible for RAW and SmackDown in the modern environment, because of their airings on different networks, FOX and the USA Network. The broadcasting partners do need their own top champion on their own shows.
Triple H Is Heavily Enjoying His Break From WWE Programming
In an update, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the winner of Lesnar vs. Reigns will be crowned the Unified WWE Champion. However, internal plans have already been considered how that single unified champion’s position would be temporary. Somehow, after Wrestlemania 38, the company will find a way to introduce two top world titles.
“It will change (from one champion again) because it’s not plausible, not for either’s schedule, not for the networks, not for the long term,” a WWE source noted.
Wrestlemania 38: A Familiar Face Teased To Appear At WWE Event
There’s no update available on how WWE will crown two separate champions after Wrestlemania 38, or how long they will go forward with a single champion. Interestingly, WWE has a Triple Threat for the WWE Title advertised for post WrestleMania 38 live events, featuring AJ Styles vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins.
