In a surprising turn of events, WWE has now listed Ronda Rousey as an-ex WWE Superstar. Although her contract is intact for two more years, it was unprecedented to see WWE moving the former Raw women’s champion into the alumni section of the superstars. She is no more featuring in the active wrestler’s portion. She last appeared on WWE television in April 2019 by facing Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the first women’s main event in WrestleMania history.

Ronda Rousey To Be Special Attraction On Smackdown After Return

Thereafter, Ronda Rousey went on to enjoy an extended vacation as she needed a break from the rigorous schedule offered by the WWE. Plus, she also injured her hand during the marquee match at Wrestlemania 35 which demanded a break from wrestling, as well. Also, she openly admitted of starting a family with husband Travis Browne which became her priority rather coming back to in-ring competition.

However, we should note that the contract signed between WWE and Ronda Rousey is intact until 2021. So she should be an active superstar until then. But WWE has removed “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” from the list of ‘Current Superstars’ on the official website that comes as a huge shocker. This could mean two things. Firstly, the former champion is not coming back anytime soon after breaking her fingers on movie sets. Or else, it could simply be a ‘work’ by the WWE officials to deceive us.

At present, there’s no confirmed update is available on the future of Ronda Rousey as she kept herself away from the limelight. But Natalya recently talked with New York Post to reveal that her good friend does miss WWE and should be back, soon,

“I think that she misses it. I think that she wants to come back, but I think that she’s so focused on having a family and that’s something. … When Ronda makes a promise to somebody, she stands by her word. And she wants to have a family and she’s focused on that with her husband Travis.

So I believe that that right now is her main focus, but I also think she still has a lot of unfinished business is WWE and so, for me, because she kind of fell in love with it more than she even realized she would, I think she’ll be back, but it’s all about timing and I just think her family is coming first right now and I think every woman can relate to that.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)

Despite the uncertainty over her WWE career, Ronda Rousey will be returning on TV as part of the Total Divas reality TV series. The ninth season of the program will soon be airing on the E Network. The former UFC Bantamweight Champion will be the prime attraction on this popular event.
