There has been a huge buzz around the WWE Universe and Video Gaming Community about WWE may end terms with video game publisher 2K. Ever since 2K launched their latest 2K series game they faced major backlash from both the fans and WWE. 2K20 is not only considered as one of the worst wrestling games of all time but also one of the worst video games of all time.

Everything with 2K20 was wrong, to begin with. It had weak graphics (the graphics of this game was even worse than its previous entry), it did not feature much variety neither it offered anything new. And the worst thing about this game was the glitches. In some cases, 2K20 was almost unplayable. WWE was so unhappy with the outcome of this game they decided to cancel their next year’s product which was  2K21.

WWE May End Terms With 2K

Instead of 2K21 fans received a completely different game which was  2K Battlegrounds. This game could not get many positive responses either. It had limited playable options, match types, and lots of other things. It could have been a good experience on a mobile phone but no way was it good enough for Playstation or Xbox. Most of the fans consider All-Stars which was released under the banner of THQ was way better than 2K Battlegrounds, and All-Stars was released way back in 2011.

Ever since 2K took over, gamers were disappointed with almost every 2K entry. 2K14 was made under THQ, but since the license was sold to 2K they released the game under their own banner. After that 2K released 2K15 which was more of a simulation game rather than a wrestling game. It also had very less features. Most of the fans did not like the new style of gameplay. Since then 2K tried to improve the quality of the games but the new style could never match the fun gamers used to have during the THQ days.

There is a report that WWE might have been considering end terms with 2K over games and give the license to some other game developer. But there is also one concrete news that WWE 2K22 will release this year. This might be 2K’s last opportunity to retain the license of WWE. We hope fans do not have to face more disappointment over the next entries.
