Money in The Bank 2022 was originally scheduled to be presented as the fifth biggest premium live event in the current WWE calendar. For the first time in its history, the event was set to go down from the grand Allegiant Stadium, the home of last year’s iconic Summerslam PLE. But things did change over the course.
Money in the Bank 2022 venue was altered from the 65,000-seater Allegiant Stadium to the 17,000-seater MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada. With that, there have been some massive creative alterations within the WWE creative and one of the being the removal of Roman Reigns.
As per the earlier reports alongside the advertisements, the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Bobby Lashley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Drew McIntyre were all scheduled to appear at Money in the Bank 2022.

No WWE World title defense set for Money in the Bank 2022
An earlier report from The Wrestling Observer suggested that Roman Reigns is slated to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Riddle at the Money in the Bank 2022, before moving into another title defense against Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2022 and then against Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff, Wales.
Now, reports from The Observer update that Roman was indeed moved from the set title defense at Money in the Bank and that he will only be seen performing at the Nissan Stadium and Principality Stadium for Summerslam and Clash at the Castle, respectively. These will be two grand shows where WWE should pull out all the stops, going by the history of the stadium shows.
As for Money in the Bank 2022, only one match has been made, official, to date. Rhea Ripley has become the new number-one contender for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and he will battle Bianca Belair for the title on the July 2 show.
