Match 3 – WWE Intercontinental championship – Gunther defeated Matt Riddle
This match on Money in the Bank was expected to be a good technical match but it was more of a physical showdown. Gunther kept on attacking the injured ankle of Riddle. Gunther looked really menacing throughout this match. The Ring General remained extremely dominant throughout the match.

The match was booked for only six minutes and as we have said above, The Ring General completely dominated Matt Riddle. The formal United States champion never looked to have any kind of chance against the Austrian professional wrestler. At the end of the match he locked his leg to make him submit.
But it was not all. One of the biggest surprises of the night took place the very next moment after Gunther won the match. Drew McIntyre made his return to shock the entire world. The fans burst into cheers as soon as they got to hear Drew’s music. He entered the ring and took out Gunther with The Claymore. But why did he returned for the Intercontinental title and not the World Heavyweight title? This was pretty confusing.
John Cena And Drew McIntyre Make Returns
Match 4 – Cody Rhodes defeated Dominik Mysterio
Cody Rhodes was as expected the strongest of the two and Dominik Mysterio had been the perfect heel of this match who kept on trying to avoid physical moments. He even tried to escape from the match a number of times. Cody dominated the early parts of the match but help from Rhea Ripley who was outside of the ring got Dominik the control of the match.
But even after all the cheating from Dominik and Rhea, The American Nightmare remained the stronger of the two who kept on dominating his opponent. It took only eight minutes for the men’s Royal Rumble winner 2023 to master the evil force of Dominik Mysterio. Cody pinned Dominik after a Cody Cutter.
We were expecting the return of Brock Lesnar during or after this match, but we got another unexpected return. Former 16 times WWE World Champion John Cena makes his return. We have reported this earlier that John Cena is in London right now for the shooting of his latest movie, there was a big chance of him showing up tonight at Money in the Bank.
Really he was not here for a match. He was brought back for this one event appearance just to appease the home crowd of London, and Cena did it extremely well. He even pitched for a future WrestleMania which might take place at London. The home fans were thrilled to hear this.
Grayson Waller interfered John Cena and nobody wanted to see him. But he did an excellent job we must say. In an arena full of decline, he did not lose his voice. He said that WrestleMania should never come to London, if it has to go International it should go to Australia.
Waller even invited Cena for the Grayson Waller Effect in London. At the end of the segment, Cena declined the proposal. Grayson Waller attacked Cena, but Cena fought back and grounded Waller with the AA. It was really good to see Cena, and a potential WrestleMania at London announcement was pretty huge as well.
