Just one night after Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event, WWE Raw came up with a heated edition. It started the buildups for Extreme Rules PPV set for July. The Undertaker returned on the show helping out Roman Reigns in one of the main events of the night. But it was the original main event of the night that was a standout between Ricochet and AJ Styles. The audience was up for a treat between these two in-ring technicians.
The United States Champion was almost on the verge of a win when he set up AJ Styles for the top rope 630-splash. But Styles wisely moved out of the way and downed her with a forearm. He quickly followed up with his pendant Phenomenal Forearm to pick up the win. You can watch the highlights of the match in the given video. After the match, AJ Styles endorsed Ricochet like a true veteran by raising his arms.

Ricochet pulled off the biggest upset of the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event when he defeated a behemoth like Samoa Joe. By no means, he was the favorite heading into the match especially becoming the number one contender only six days prior to the PPV. But WWE did allow him to pick up the first title of the roster on the bygone PPV.
But he soon became the target of the WWE Raw roster namely The Phenomenal One. AJ Styles approached towards him to challenge for a match that the WWE has sanctioned,
“Moments after AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson invited themselves into the new titleholder’s photoshoot, The Phenomenal One said he would see Ricochet on Raw.
WWE.com has since learned that the two Superstars will, in fact, square off in a non-title match. Will Ricochet rise above? Will Styles end the celebration and set himself up with a future title opportunity? Will the defeated Samoa Joe play a role in the contest?”
As mentioned above, Samoa Joe was not intending to miss the action, probably. He was yet to get over from the devastating loss of his career and should target Ricochet to make a statement. But he instead chose Kofi Kingston on another segment choking him down with the Coquina Clutch. This ensured that we had a non-interrupted main event on WWE Raw.
