One of the most exciting segments of last night’s WWE Raw as the contract signing segment for Universal Championship. As seen on last week, AJ Styles became the number one contender for the title held by Seth Rollins. He defeated Baron Corbin to reserve the number one contender’s spot. Now WWE officially handed him the title match at Money in the Bank with an official signing segment that ended in a brawl.

Michael Cole was the one to host the contract signing that took place in the main event segment of WWE Raw. Both the competitors from Money in the Bank appeared in the ring with intense looks in their eyes. They seemed confident heading into the Money in the Bank pay-per-view trying to upstage one another. After all, this is a dream match between the two most technical pro-wrestlers of the entire world.

So they wasted the least time to pen down the contract and rather go for verbal jabs to each other. AJ Styles was the one to take the first shot into Seth Rollins after the verbal encounter reached the limit. The Universal Champion soon counter the offense to send his opponent into the apron. He took Styles out of the ring with a suicidal dive. But the former WWE Champion punched him back and connected with a Phenomenal Forearm through the table. He posed on the lying body of Seth Rollins before WWE Raw came to an end. Now that’s how you create an impression prior to Money in the Bank.

Seth Rollins won the Universal Championship back at Wrestlemania making the unthinkable possible with the help of the fans. The audience gave him the courage to ‘slay the beast’ with their vocal tonics and he delivered at the grandest stage of them all. Three Carb Stomps were well enough to put down the beast incarnate for the referee’s three counts.

Going forward, the question was who could be the next challenger for Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank. There’s no way that Brock Lesnar was returning since Wrestlemania is over. So the anticipation began around a new number one contender. But we could have barely thought AJ Styles would turn out to be that name as he has just entered WWE Raw brand from Smackdown Live.

Previous reports suggested that a big pay per view event like Wrestlemania or Summerslam will see the dream contest between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins. WWE proved everyone wring by letting Styles win the contender’s match and set up the match for Money in the Bank. It’s going to be one of the main events for the May 19th show. Hence, we expect a stacked buildup around this contest as we inch closer to the next PPV show.
