With All Elite Wrestling hosting the All Out show in Chicago, rumors were all over the place that it could mark the return of CM Punk to the squared circle. That did not turn out to be the case as the Best in the World decided to stay in hiatus from pro-wrestling. How WWE Is Trying To Make Sasha Banks A Bonafide Villain On Raw?
CM Punk did a two-hour interview at Starrcast III in Chicago which is his hometown. He received the question of the decade as to whether he’d ever return to the squared circle or whether this interrogation from the fans has become weird.
“No, I don’t think it’s weird,” CM Punk said. “It’s a testament to what I have done and the mark I’ve left on a business, and I think that’s pretty cool. ‘When are you coming back?’ is always a lot better question than ‘When are you going the f— away?’ And trust me, people ask that all the time, so it’s a nice healthy balance of both.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)

The Straight Edge society leader then addressed the rumors of going to AEW and his possible co-hosting gig with FS1 when WWE starts an in-studio show when they move to FOX. The general theory is he could be on the show with Renee Young. But CM Punk wiped out the chances, right away,
“I mean none of it’s—I’m not gonna be anywhere,” Punk laughed. “[AJ Lee] was in Los Angeles for like a week, week and a half, so I haven’t seen her in a minute, so I’m gonna be hanging out with her tonight. I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, I’m sorry.”

The longest-reigning WWE Champion in the modern era then broke out some interesting things after someone asked him whether Triple H or Vince McMahon contacted him in recent times. He gave a negative answer to it and confirmed being open to speaking with anyone, but he’s not going to be the one reaching out to people.
Also, CM Punk mentioned that WWE suspended him for not returning to work in 2014 when he needed a break to heal up the wounds. He reached out to WWE to see what the next steps would be but didn’t hear anything back from them. He continued that he will not contact WWE for any comeback scenario but if McMahons do contact him, he’ll be listening,
“It’s just a weird situation, but that being said, I’m over it. I’ve been over it for a very long time, it’s in the past. I’m 40 years old and I try to be as zen and wise as I possibly can be. I’ll have a conversation with anybody. But it’s nothing—like, I’m not calling them, but if they’re like, ‘Oh, hey,’ I mean, I’ll talk to you. See what you got to say, but it better be good. I think I had a pretty good career, I don’t think there’s anything left that I need to accomplish.”
CM Punk has been a former ECW Champion who entered the main roster in WWE in 2007. His first big break came when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase at Wrestlemania and win the world heavyweight championship on Smackdown. This happened for two consecutive occasions before the company elevated him to the main event status, permanently. Thereafter, the historic title reign occurred that lasted for 434 days creating an all-time record.
