We have previously reported about how WWE is looking forward to intergender segments in the near future. This is the smartest strategy to garner attention from the audience. Mandy Rose and Jimmy Uso segments have been doing so for weeks on Smackdown Live. Starting from Royal Rumble 2019, Nia Jax is the one who is featuring in such segments on a regular basis leading to one of the most interesting matchups.
Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax had a confrontation on the post-Royal Rumble episode of WWE Raw. After the loss at the hands of Seth Rollins, Ambrose received a punch from the Irresistible Force to go out of the ring. It was a rare kind of segment in the PG environment provided on WWE programming. WWE eventually lead it up to the next edition of the show.
The Lunatic Fringe alluded that Nia Jax might be having an issue with him who possesses “raw sexual magnetism.” This built a feud between the two of them culminating a future intergender match. WWE started advertising Nia Jax vs Dean Ambrose at a WWE live event in the future weeks. Jonesboro, Arkansas WWE house show on February 22nd was going to be the host of the match, to be specific.
According to a report by John Pollock at Post Wrestling, this intergender match may not take place, at all. He indicated that the reports of the match were not accurate at all. WWE might have reached out to the source revealing that the ad was outdated. It means that the “Intergender Special Attraction” is not happening anytime soon. Well, this should be a disappointment for the fans who expected Dean Ambrose vs. Nia Jax to be a reality.
Dean Ambrose himself claimed that he was all good with Nia Jax in the following interview with WWE.com,
“I’m going to assume that Nia simply tripped and fell into me, and was not trying to start some physical altercation with me, a man. Because that’s insane, right? So, I’m going to accept her, what I assume is an apology is what she was yelling at me from the ring as I was being escorted away by referees. Like I would do something. Can you imagine? I’m going to accept her apology. And we’re all good.”
However, the consequences were not hinting that, at all. He is a kind of on-screen character who does not forget things easily. Also, the fact that Dean Ambrose is leaving WWE might not involve him in any relevant future feuds heading to Wrestlemania 35. So this Nia Jax feud could have been interesting for him. Apparently, that may not be on the card as per the recent reports.
