The members of the former Bullet Club, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows joined the main WWE roster, last year. Following Wrestlemania, they showed up on Monday Night Raw to give company to their brethren, AJ Styles while his feud was going on against Roman Reigns. Later, The Phenomenal One turned into a heel alongside his former brothers.
They started a program against John Cena which continued even after the brand split. But, prior to that, The Club members reunited for weeks after weeks with their “Beat up John Cena” program. To make a mockery out of the franchise player of the company they used to show up outnumbering him and delivering a beat down to him.
They promised to continue with their mission until John Cena could not stand up on his own. These segments earned quite a popularity considering Cena is one of the most polarising superstars in the WWE, today. In fact, it started a trend on the social media with the hashtag of #beatupjohncena.

Several memes were flying on the internet with the catchphrase. It generally faded away after the Club was split during the Draft and Cena-Styles moved away to Smackdown Live. But, in a recently posted video on the Instagram account of Karl Anderson, he claimed that his son is still continuing with the motto of beating up the Cenation Leader.
In the posted video, we can see Anderson is training one of his sons how to beat up John Cena on his action figure. Supposedly, the elder of his three brothers is seen performing with the Uso-special Samoan Splash on Cena. He then followed it up with a Senton Bomb and Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb, perfectly on the John Cena figure.
Ever since this particular storyline ended on Raw, last year, The Club seemed lost in the storyline. They sure did win the Raw tag team championships but it was a one-off incident. In recent memory, they have not been given any credential for their past achievements as they continuing to lag behind in the tag team division.
