WWE News: Latest Update On Sasha Banks Return To The WWE
We have not received any concrete news on Sasha Banks ever since Wrestlemania passed by. She has not been on WWE TV ever since walking out of the biggest PPV show of them all without successfully retaining the women’s tag team titles. That led to frustrations as she reportedly wanted to quit the company but the officials would not let him do so and thus she is sitting out.
Neither WWE nor Sasha Banks really spoke up about the situation that left the fans in total confusions. Reliable sources have come up with tons of updates about the backstage happening where Sasha Banks may have thrown tantrums. But then the IIconics recently wiped out all of those speculations. So we can never treat the floating rumors as a valid update on her current status.
Brad Shepard on Oh, You Didn’t Know Podcast has an update on the situation. The reports from her stated that nothing has changed between the two parties. He even mentioned that Sasha Banks and WWE are no longer on talking terms, as well. She is no more answering the phone calls from the company that may be shelving her wrestling career for good.
However, Shepard still believes that the former women’s champion is returning someday,
“The company originally wanted to place Sasha in that [Money In The Bank] match and have her win, but that didn’t happen. The situation with Sasha was quiet as of last week and she’s still expected to remain in the company and eventually return as I’ve reported.”
In case you have been following Sasha Banks’ career, you may know that she has signed a long-term WWE contract just last year. The deal may be intact for the five long years. So there’s no way that she could wrestler anywhere else unless WWE releases her. But is the reports of her current ongoing are true then WWE may just go on to add dates into her contract just because of her absence. This can sit her out in sidelines, forever.
WWE Creative wanted Sasha Banks to show up at Money in the Bank. She was the original favorite to win the contract, this year. But in her absence, her best friend Bayley ended up winning the contract and become the new Smackdown women’s champion. The company officials intended to have a similar push for the four-time champ if she’d only appear but that was not the case.
