WWE Super ShowDown is approaching towards us with a jam-packed match card. Goldberg vs. The Undertaker is going to be the headliner of the Saudi Arabia show where Triple H will face Randy Orton in a match. Roman Reigns will also feature in a first-time matchup against Shane McMahon. A 50-man battle royal will also be present on the card.

The WWE Championship will also hang on the balance between Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler. The latter one returned on Smackdown, all of a sudden by attacking the champion and thereby setting up the matchup in Saudi Arabia PPV. Originally, it was never going to happen as a rematch from Money in the Bank between Kofi and Owens was in-store.
As reported by Wrestling Observer, Kevin Owens informed the WWE officials that his family does not want him to go to Saudi Arabia. Most probably, Sami Zayn missing the show due to his Syrian Muslim background worked as an inducer in the context. As a result, Dolph Ziggler called a last minute call and showed up on Smackdown to confirm his ticket to Saudi Arabia.
Dolph Ziggler was set to visit Australia during the Saudi Arabia weekend. Now, WWE is sending an alternate star to fill up the void. You may check the following comments released by the source,
“Ziggler was a late change from Kevin Owens, who refused to go to Saudi Arabia. The feeling is that they had nobody ready, since they didn’t want a Raw wrestler in the spot and since HHH vs. Randy Orton was already booked on the show, as was Finn Balor vs. Andrade, the only names were Owens, Elias, or Daniel Bryan (who has been moved into a tag team program and also isn’t going to Saudi Arabia).
The decision was just made since Ziggler was booked by WWE to be in Australia that weekend. WWE just pulled him from that appearance and is sending Carmella to Australia in his place.” (via SportsKeeda.com)
The future match card for Extreme Rules or Stomping Grounds suggests that the feud between Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston is yet to be over. They are likely to get a singles title match after the Saudi Arabia show as well as a triple threat also featuring Dolph in the future.
Meanwhile, Owens or Zayn are not the only names who are skipping the Saudi Arabia PPV. Aleister Black from Smackdown has also opted out of the show due to religion problem. He is a known Satanist that could not go down well with the strict Saudi Arabian culture. Most of the tattoos on his body are related to what he believes in and hence he chose to stay away from the controversies.
